After the terrible loss of his family, Gorr was able to amass a lot of power, namely due to the weapon he acquired, All-Black, the Necrosword. He went on a tear throughout the galaxy with this weapon, eliminating gods from thousands of worlds. He even was given the moniker, Gorr the God Butcher.
